Mocap Release Notes v1.3.7
8th March 2023
π Improved motion quality
Multiple changes in our kinematic model, better tracking and the use of a new improved pose estimator now offer a smoother and even more realistic raw result.
π Improved tracking
The quality of tracking has been enhanced to effectively handle close-interaction cases like hugging. Changes in the tracking algorithm for large areas also boosted current performance.
π Bug fixes
A couple of bug fixes and small improvements in all stages of the mocap in the current release provide user with a smoother experience.
Mocap Release Notes v1.3.0
9th February 2023
π Improved foot contact
Issues with jittery feet have been addressed and foot contact is now improved. Blue is the improved model.
βπ Additional Spine bone for higher fidelity animation
Users will now be able to map two spine bones instead of just one, resulting in more realistic representations of the spine. The second spine bone is optional (see below in red).
Note: Move.ai rigs have been updated accord
π Improved tracking
The quality of tracking has been improved to better handle extreme moves like breakdance and backflips.
π Export related improvements
This release contains several improvements regarding the exports as follows:
Mapped bones are exported even if they donβt have assigned vertex weights.
Root bone is always exported.
Namespaces export for .fbx.
Support of new export files: GLTF, C3D
Mocap Release Notes v1.2.7
1st February 2023
π Speed ups
The processing of calibration is now 2x faster while action takes have been speed up by 1.2x thanks to several improvements in current release.
π Improved feet
Issues with jittery feet have been addressed and foot contact is now improved.
π 2d Spine model
In this release the user will be able to map 2 spine bones instead of just one, resulting in more realistic representations of the spine. The second spine bone is optional though.
π Improved large area calibration
Calibration in very large areas such as a football court is now more robust.
π Improved tracking
The quality of tracking has severy been improved so as to better handle extreme cases like breakdance, backflips etc.
π Export related improvements
This release contains several improvements regarding the exports as follows:
Mapped bones are exported even if they donβt have assigned vertex weights.
Root bone is always exported.
Namespaces export for .fbx.
Support of new export files: USD, BVH, GLTF, C3D
π Render preview changes
The "unknown_" actor's label above the head has been changed to "moveai_" on the render preview while the default actor name and the output file name have also been changed. Additionally, the move.ai logo has been added.
π Bug fixes
Many bug fixes and small improvements in all stages of the mocap in the current release provide user with a smoother experience.

Mocap Release Notes v1.2.6
11th November 2022
π Improved spine
A spine model has been added to better predict the spine curvature, even in challenging scenarios, resulting in amazing realistic animations!
πSpeed ups
The processing of both calibration and action takes has now become 4 times faster thanks to the improved AI models, kinematics and optimization techniques used.
π Improved calibration
This release contains an improved version of our calibration algorithm for small areas while new features include:
Handling of camera bumping between calibration and action takes.
Use of different iphone models to calibrate and do motion capture.
π Improved raw result
Further improvements on tracking accuracy, human keypoint detection and kinematic estimators now offer an improved overall raw result to the user.
π Improved exported files
This release contains several improvements regarding the exported files as follows:
Animation curvesβ points in the .fbx files are now exported correctly, with no sudden jumps happening.
Textures of the imported .fbx rig are now being displayed correctly on the webapp preview. Textures should be embedded in the .fbx though.
Camera export from the system to Blender has been improved using the correct optical center.
Retargeting improvements.
π New rig added
A female rig has now been added.
