The purpose of the calibration is for the system to understand the position of the iPhones/camera, with respect to the environment they are within.

If the phones/cameras move, a new calibration must be done to ensure it is applying the correct camera locations to the respective take.

Now that you are ready to calibrate, you'll need to follow these simple steps:

Clap 3 times above your head clearly, ensuring it is sufficiently louder than any background noise.

Stand in a Y pose for 2 seconds, then walk from the middle of the capture area:

1. To the edge of the volume in front of each phone, facing the phone at all times. Move in a natural motion, pause at each and return to the centre while still facing the phone.
2. Repeat this motion walking to each phone, moving back to the centre afterwards before moving on to the next.
    

At this stage, we recommend measuring the height of your actor and noting it down, you'll need it later when you process the calibration! Their height will include the footwear they are wearing, so it's best to measure it at the time, rather than estimating afterwards.

Make sure only the actor (i.e no other people) are in the capture area during the calibration otherwise the system will not perform optimally.
