Recording your calibration

You are now ready to record your calibration for your first shoot. Calibrating is the most important step in achieving high-quality motion capture data. It's worth noting that you will need to know the actor's height which will be used when processing the calibration.

  • Start the recording by pressing the circular white button on the screen.

  • The actor needs to stand in the centre of the volume.

  • Clap 3 times above your head as loud as possible.

  • Stand in the Y-pose in the centre of the volume.

  • Begin to calibrate the volume by walking towards each marker in the Y-pose. It's important to return to the centre before repeating this step for each phone.

  • Remain in the Y-pose with your arms above your head for the whole calibration.

  • Once finished stand back in the centre of the volume standing in the Y-pose.

  • Press the button to end the recording

Recording your takes

You are now ready to record your take for your first shoot. This is your time to get creative.

  • Click on New Scene

  • The screen below will pop up.

  • Give your scene a name and press Apply

  • Your chosen scene name can be seen at the top of the screen

  • Start the recording by pressing the circular white button.

  • The Actor should be standing in the centre of the volume.

  • Clap 3 times above your head as loud as possible.

  • Stand in a T-pose for at least 2 seconds.

  • After this has been completed you are free to perform your movements inside the volume.

  • GET CREATIVE

  • End the recording when you've captured your movements by pressing the red square.
